This photo was also taken today (Oct. 14th.) This shows where the clouds end after the morning rain. I would assume that more than one cloud type are probably shown, but for now, I would say these are cumulonimbus. Rain (obviously, look at the rain drops on the window!) leads to the nimbus suffix, and the large, general lumpy-ness can be seen towards the brighter portions of the picture. If I had to choose another type, I would say nimbostratus. I am sure there are some sheets in there somewhere.

This photo was taken today (Oct. 14th.) This is a nimbostratus cloud. There was a LOT of rain today, and the clouds were low, and stretched horizontally, not upward.

The feathery shape of the upper portion, and the lumpy parts of it towards the middle led me to classify this cloud as cirrocumulus. This was one of the few pictures that I enjoyed taking. The sight was truly beautiful.

Date: Still do not know the exact date, most likely Saturday, probably around 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.

This cloud patch looked pretty high up, and the wispy-ness of it basically led me to classify them as cirrus clouds.  This photo was taken outside my house on Thursday or Friday (honestly do not remember, and my photo album on my phone does not say actual date :c )

I took this picture while walking to my car after school on Wed. October 8th. I thought the moonlight illuminating the clouds around it looked very cool. Based on the lumpy, thick covering that these have in some spots, I would classify them as Cumulus clouds.

I would say that this cloud would be classified as cirrostratus. Just by the look of it one can tell that it is pretty high up in the sky; plus the flat, sheety look to it.

Date: October 8th

NOTE: These classifications are based on the chart in the notes and my own observations. These could all be wrong :/
This is the Cloud Journal for Mark Cole, EARTH 1110 Fall semester 2014.

Note to the professor: In the case that you do not remember my situation for the week that this was due, please talk to me in class or by email. Otherwise you should know why there are fewer posts and photos.
